Brazilian to Train Harrah High Soccer Teams

Henry Lauar, Oklahoma Baptist University Men’s and Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach, has accepted the Trainer position at Harrah High School. Lauar, a Brazil native, began training the Panthers on January 8.

Lauar’s soccer credentials are quite impressive. Not only is he a college coach here in the US but he has also coached both amateur and professional teams in Brazil and coached many youth championship teams in his home state of Goiano in Brazil. Harrah is indeed fortunate to have him.

Henry Lauar, Oklahoma Baptist University Men’s and Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach, has accepted the Trainer position at Harrah High School. Lauar, a Brazil native, began training the Panthers on January 8.

Why did Lauar take the job? “I want to contribute to the development of younger kids. And introduce them to new and different soccer ideas.” Plus, he was already involved with soccer in Harrah. Some of you will recognize Lauar from this past summer, when he and fellow OBU coach Brent Coates put on a camp at HSC. They plan to have another camp at HSC during the second week of June.

What are Lauar’s immediate plans? “I want to contribute to the program and improve the kids’ skills. We will try to make the playoffs. But I not only want to be a coach and teacher, but to have a positive impact on their lives.”

HSC thanks Lauar as he works to improve Harrah soccer. We wish him all the best!
